Ed Clarkson is a part-time research assistant at Mātai contributing to the technical development and analysis of amplified MRI (aMRI). He has been instrumental in developing a pipeline to analyse quantitative aMRI data from rugby studies. As a master’s student under Dr. Vickie Shim at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, Ed plays a key role in the mTBI/concussion research team, applying novel image processing pipelines to analyse diffusion MRI data in concussion studies. His expertise in image processing supports the development of innovative approaches to understanding various neurological conditions.
