GE Clinical Scientist Dr Haribalan Kumar is based on the ground at Mātai supporting a number of projects, including incorporation of amplified MRI into a clinical workflow, and will join us in the search for early biomarkers and modelling of concussion. He also supports the Tairawhiti child wellbeing study, a Mātai research initiative employing advanced imaging in the paediatric group to better understand structure and function.
He is a senior research fellow at Auckland Bioengineering Institute or ABI. He was engaged in projects with the ABI on pulmonary system biomechanics, ventilation monitoring and impedance tomography. Hari was the recipient of the University of Auckland research excellence medal joint award and Aotearoa Fellowship to develop independent research streams at the Auckland Bioengineering.
Mātai is a registered Charitable Trust (CC56831) undertaking not-for-profit medical imaging research in Gisborne-Tairāwhiti, Aotearoa-New Zealand.
