Mathew is currently undertaking his MB ChB degree and has recently completed his second year of study at the University of Otago. He is looking forward to the Mātai internship as an opportunity to further develop his academic knowledge, research capability, problem-solving proficiency, and critical-thinking skills. The internship also offers a valuable platform to contribute to the local communities in Tairāwhiti and to explore a range of medical disciplines that may inform his future career path. Mathew has a particular interest in the head and its associated anatomy.
