Ned Clarke has just completed his first year BSc specialising in Biomedical Science at the University of Auckland. Being born and raised in Tairāwhiti he has witnessed the health inequities affecting Māori communities. Ned Wishes to one day obtain a career in health to create a meaningful impact on and give back to the community. He is very excited to work at mātai to gain some hands-on experience and to also explore new avenues. He is also looking forward to building relationships with his supervisor and the staff at mātai, which will be vital for his future career in health.
Mātai is a registered Charitable Trust (CC56831) undertaking not-for-profit medical imaging research in Gisborne-Tairāwhiti, Aotearoa-New Zealand.
