Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, ēngari he toa takitini
“Success is not the work of one, but the work of many”
My name is Tyler Lillis, I grew up on the North shore of Auckland. I attended Sherwood primary school, Northcross intermediate and Long bay college. When I was 15 my parents decided to make the move to Gisborne and I attended Campion college for the last 3 years of my schooling. I strived hard in biology while I was at high school and finished high school achieving merit endorsed within biology. I currently study a bachelor of health science at the University of Canterbury majoring in public health and minoring in nutrition, next year I will going into my third year of study. This internship will hopefully help me figure out more of where I want to go into within the health sector, Matai also helped me last year after I had been in a sever motor vehicle accident that resulted in me obtaining a TBI and ever since then I wanted to know more about what Matai does and how they help the community, I also want to give back my community as they have been a big part of my growing up.
