Sam is from Wānaka and he loves skiing and the outdoors. He is going into his third year of mechanical engineering with the vision of minoring in biomedical engineering. During his time at University of Canterbury he has developed a passion for biomedical engineering and has been a part of the biomed club which involved helping assemble a prosthetic bionic arm. Sam also enjoys the hands-on side of engineering. He is keen to expand his knowledge of biomedical engineering in the realm of medical imaging at Mātai. Sam is keen to get involved with the exciting opportunities Mātai offers and meet and work with fellow students.
Mātai is a registered Charitable Trust (CC56831) undertaking not-for-profit medical imaging research in Gisborne-Tairāwhiti, Aotearoa-New Zealand.
