MSC Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience
Katie has completed a Masters of Science in cognitive and behavioural neuroscience at Victoria University of Wellington. Her expertise lies in the study of the brain and its impact on human behaviour, with a particular focus on areas such as mental health, neurological disorders, brain injury, and substance abuse. Her research interests align seamlessly with Mātai’s vision, and having the opportunity to return home to Tairāwhiti whilst continuing her academic journey is a dream come true for her. Katie is passionate about utilising the latest MRI technology to enhance our understanding of the symptoms that follow brain injury. By doing so, she hopes to contribute to the development of effective treatments and interventions to help those affected by brain injuries.
Mātai is a registered Charitable Trust (CC56831) undertaking not-for-profit medical imaging research in Gisborne-Tairāwhiti, Aotearoa-New Zealand.
