MRI Procedures

Mātai is a world-class MRI facility offering advanced imaging for diagnosis and personalised care, whether you’re a clinician, patient, or researcher.

We use a state-of-the-art MRI scanner* operated by a team of skilled medical professionals. We provide a wide range of scans using some of the world’s most advanced technologies.

MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves to generate internal images of the body. It is safe, and non-invasive, and can often reduce the need for unnecessary invasive procedures.

*SIGNA PREMIER 3T MRI – wide-bore design with in-bore entertainment for a more comfortable, less enclosed experience.

Important Information

For certain patients, it may not be possible to undergo an MRI scan due to the powerful magnetic field of the scanner. If you have a cardiac pacemaker, cochlear implants, metal fragments in your eye, or surgical clips on blood vessels in your brain, please get in touch with us immediately. We will provide you with further guidance and assess your eligibility for an MRI scan, ensuring your safety and well-being throughout the process.

Before entering the scanner, you will be required to remove any metallic objects, including jewellery, watches, hair clips, and hearing aids.
